How you can make a difference

We are looking for a self-starting professional to join the new HealthEquity Retirement team, which adds a 401(k) plan offering to the HealthEquity suite of products. The combination of the 401(k) and HSA provides more effective and tax-efficient retirement planning strategies for consumers. We provide a solution for employers to offer a 401(k) plan that costs less and reduces work while providing a remarkable client experience.

 

Partners are key to the success of HealthEquity Retirement because most of our 401(k) plans are sold through health brokers and financial advisors. A relationship manager is an integral part of the organization and a positive force for promoting loyalty and driving growth.

 

What you will be doing

The Relationship Manager is responsible for most day-to-day activities involved with the implementation and maintenance of partner relationships. In your role, you will:

  • Proactively oversee and liaise with partners like financial advisors and health brokers
  • Serve as primary contact for all partner issues and opportunities
  • Build partner loyalty by delivering first-class service by phone, email, and in person
  • Manage new partner implementations and develop strong relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers for issue resolution
  • Facilitate the sales, sales support, and service of clients related to partners
  • Prepare and coordinate partner communications including reports and updates
  • Introduce new products and service enhancements to partners and their clients
  • Provide partners with marketing collateral and campaigns to better penetrate their market
  • Assist partners in identifying and developing new prospecting opportunities
  • Respond to feedback from partners to enhance the employer and participant experiences
  • Provide enrollment or consulting support via webinar, or in person when possible
  • Serve as a backup resource for service managers, partner sales, and sales support

What you will need to be successful

The ideal candidate for the Relationship Manager role will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant major or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in servicing or selling 401(k), HSA, or other employer benefits
  • Track record of maintaining accounts or relationships through exceptional service
  • Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to efficiently manage several tasks and competing priorities
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Developed level of financial literacy including markets, investments, and products
  • Strong focus on relationships and customer service
  • Initiative and drive to develop internal and external partner and distributor relationships.
