HealthEquity is looking for a passionate Infrastructure Security Architect to join our team in Draper, Utah. This person will report to the Senior Manager of Information Security in the Audit and Risk Management department. They will be responsible for working with the Information Technology department to secure HealthEquity technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build meaningful relationships with Information Technology and other departments leading to true reduction in cyber risk to HealthEquity. The candidate should have strong tactical expertise, but also be able to understand how their tasks fit into the overall Information Security program and strategy and HealthEquity’s ultimate success. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike, in person and through well-written reports.


What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the infrastructure vulnerability program including performing scans, validating and explaining findings, communicating to system owners and follow-up as needed, and tracking overall progress
  • In partnership with IT, plan and support the implementation and enhancement of security controls related to infrastructure security (vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, configurations, backups, etc.)
  • Analyze security incidents to understand root cause, propose next steps for improvement, and regularly participate in table top exercises
  • Analyze infrastructure security risks to the organization, provide recommendations, and prioritize against other risks based on cost and business value
  • Develop procedures to efficiently search for and recognize indicators of compromise
  • Stay up-to-date on infrastructure security in order to proactively mature the program to utilize the latest tools and countermeasures and protect against ever-evolving threats
  • Help support SOC II type II, penetration testing, and other assessments performed by third-parties and resulting remediation activities
  • Support teammates in other information security domains as needed (e.g., software security, identity and access management, penetration testing)


What you will need to be successful

  • At least 3 years of full-time, relevant information security experiencePassion for information security
  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field such as Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Information Technology
  • Relationship building skills to facilitate information security awareness and action across other departments
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, analyzing the results, and overseeing the process to remediation
  • Experience with infrastructure security controls such as encryption, PKI, backups, data retention/destruction, security configuration management/system hardening, and DLP
  • Strong understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls, and enterprise network design)
  • Excellent report writing and communication
  • Organization capabilities sufficient to maintain logical inventories, show program improvement overtime, and follow up on complex tasks
  • The ability to work well independently or with a team
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC
