How you can make a difference

This position will assist with the negotiation, execution and cataloguing of HealthEquity’s contracts together with the company’s in-house counsel.  The contract administrator will join HealthEquity’s small but growing legal department and will report to the General Counsel.  This position will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure accurate capture of contract terms.  You will assist with the review and streamlining of current agreements and ensuring future contracts are in compliance with established standards. 


What you’ll be doing

  • Under the direction and guidance of company counsel, assist with the preparation and negotiation of the company’s revenue and vendor agreements
  • Establish relationships with the company’s business units and risk managers to ensure all contractual terms and conditions comply with company standards and that deviations from company standards are formally reviewed and approved by applicable business units or risk owners
  • Serve as a liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages
  • Process contract requests in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative assistance to the company’s legal department to efficiently negotiate, execute and catalogue the company’s revenue and vendor agreements
  • Help develop and maintain centralized contract data base


What you will need to be successful

  • Paralegal Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate and execute contracts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
  • Excellent reading and language comprehension
  • Ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, to manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and to deal with changing priorities, while maintaining personal effectiveness
