HealthEquity is looking for a passionate Identity and Access Program Manager to join our team. This person will report to the Senior Manager of Information Security in the Audit and Risk Management department. They will be responsible for establishing the overall direction and governance of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program with InfoSec and business leadership. The person in this role provides leadership and guidance to internal teams and managed services providers; this position is not an operational position. It is a position focused on the development and implementation of a solid IAM program. The successful candidate will have a combination of tactical subject matter expertise and an understanding of the overall strategy culminating in meaningful risk reduction for HealthEquity.


What you’ll be doing

  • Identify program objectives, design, and planning at the enterprise-level
  • Process design will include designing access requests, user provisioning/de-provisioning, reporting, User Access Reviews (UAR), roles, application onboarding, etc…
  • Assist with application onboarding
  • Development of a roadmap that communicates a clear vision of the IAM program. The roadmap will be utilized to improve capabilities and mitigate risk. The roadmap will be developed based on inputs from risk assessments, contractual obligations, business leadership, strategic objectives, and industry practices.
  • Work with the business, Internal Audit Services, Information Security, and others to ensure IAM-related roles, responsibilities, and processes are fully documented.
  • Develop strong policies, standards, and guidelines to support the implementation of the Identity and Access Management program.
  • Ensure usability is considered as a part of the design and implementation of Identity and Access Management solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date on IAM developments and thought leadership in order to proactively mature the program
  • Support teammates in other information security domains as needed (e.g., software security, infrastructure security, penetration testing)


What you will need to be successful

  • Passion for information security
  • Relationship building skills to facilitate information security awareness and action across other departments
  • At least 3 years of full-time, relevant IAM experience (preferably 5 years)
  • A Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field such as Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or Information Technology
  • Experience with IAM tools
  • Experience with concepts such as RBAC, ABAC, SSO, directory services, provisioning/de-provisioning, User Access Reviews, etc…
  • Excellent report writing and communication abilities
  • Organization capabilities sufficient to maintain a strategic roadmap, manage roles/policies, show program improvement over time, and follow up on complex tasks
  • The ability to work well independently or with a team
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, etc…
