How you can make a difference

 

 

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer that will be responsible for creating fully automated solutions that will not only create new machines, but will also automatically provision those same machines. We treat our servers as cattle, not snowflakes. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining fully automated deployment solutions, all of which will be consumed by our orchestration solution, as we head down the path to continuous deployment. In addition to building full scale environments and deploying full application solutions on demand, you will have the pleasure of implementing creative monitoring solutions, and providing full visibility into all areas of our system. Continuous Innovation and Continuous Improvement is key to succeeding in this role. You’ll have an integral part in helping HealthEquity become scalable to address our future growth.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Become familiar with our technology and products
  • Build and deploy processes for our software
  • Build and deploy new servers
  • Own our development, test and production environments
  • Build relationships and provide support for multiple teams across the organization
  • Work side by side with Software Engineers, DBA’s, System Administrators, and Network Engineers
  • Front line support of our production systems
  • Scrum team support

 

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS/Engineering and 3 years of equivalent work experience or 5 years of equivalent work experience
  • DevOps, Systems Administration or QA Automation Engineering
  • Windows Server and IIS Administration
  • DevOps tools: New Relic, Splunk, Solarwinds, Octopus Deploy, Chef or related tools vital to Automation and Monitoring
  • Hypervisor Management and Configuration
  • PowerShell, .Net and SQL
  • Experience with Embedded Ops
  • Building and publishing iOS and Android applications
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Agile development practices using Scrum or Kanban
  • Knowledgeable on current DevOps trends and best practices
  • Well organized team contributor not afraid of context switching
  • Monthly on-call is required
