How you can make a difference

The Reimbursement Account Claims Team Lead is responsible to manage the daily claims processing and escalations of reimbursement healthcare accounts (HRA/.FSA). This includes claims processing,  appeals, escalations, adjustments and other ad hoc tasks.  The successful leader will need to have an understanding of IRS regulations related to eligible healthcare expenses.  You will manage a team of 5-8 individuals whose responsibilities are distributed in a cross functional manner. The leader will ensure that each process is covered and completed within the expected time frame. In addition to making sure that all claims processing is handled within our current service level agreements,  you must be able to identify areas of  improvement to the system and the processes, consistently being aware of how HealthEquity can become more efficient in daily processing is a must.  
The successful candidate will effectively communicate the status of specific tasks/projects to management and escalate critical issues as needed to ensure project parameters are met. Direct the daily workflow among team members, provide training and development support of less experienced staff, and provide performance feedback to team members.



What you’ll be doing

  • Manages all escalated queues related to claims processing
  • Provides input and content for enhancements to systems and processes
  • Provides training and support for team members
  • Sets goals for, and measures performance of team members
  • Manage team member performance including, production and quality goals
  • Attend weekly and monthly cross functional meetings to report department metrics
  • Work closely with cross functional leaders to communicate updates or changes to processing


What you will need to be successful

  • A strong working knowledge of Reimbursement Account products (HRA/FSA)
  • Hands-on experience with claims processing
  • Experience in a customer oriented, client facing position, preferably supporting healthcare plans
  • Management or supervisory experience required
  • Ability to professionally represent HealthEquity while working directly with employer groups
  • Ability to work in a diverse and sometimes stressful environment.
