We are looking for a self-starting professional to join the new HealthEquity Retirement team, which adds a 401(k) plan offering to the HealthEquity suite of products. The combination of the 401(k) and HSA provides more effective and tax-efficient retirement planning strategies for consumers. We provide a solution for employers to offer a 401(k) plan that costs less and reduces work while providing a remarkable client experience.

 

Plan compliance and fiduciary services are the backbone of our product offering at HealthEquity Retirement. The Fiduciary Services Manager will be an integral part of the organization and a positive force for promoting customer experience and results while protecting the company.

 

What you will be doing

The Fiduciary Services Manager is responsible for oversight of administration activities involved with the maintenance of 401(k) Plans and the fulfillment of fiduciary roles. In your role, you will:

  • Create and manage 401(k) fiduciary processes, internal controls, and compliance
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers for issue resolution
  • Maintain and establish processes and policies for governing fiduciary services
  • Manage plan documents and facilitate amendments when required
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of responses to IRS, DOL, and EBSA
  • Handle escalated client or partner matters
  • Update management teams with regulatory proposals and changes
  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel as needed
  • Manage 401(k) committee meetings and reporting
  • Prepare and disseminate committee reports and annual reports
  • Mitigate risk for the company and management team
  • Intermittently serve as a backup resource for service managers and relationship managers
  • Review in-service distributions, hardship distributions, RMDs, QDROs, termination distributions, and force outs.
  • Research and answer complex and difficult questions for the setup and service teams, including plan design, ASG determinations, plan corrections, profit sharing, and more
  • Be the internal subject matter expert of plan compliance, plan operations, and plan design

What you will need to be successful

The ideal candidate for the Relationship Manager role will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant major such as accounting, finance, business, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERISA, including 401(k) administration and compliance
  • Relevant certifications or designations such as ERPA, QKA, QPA, and/or CPFA.
  • Superior judgment, professionalism, and communication
  • Microsoft Office experience including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
