How you can make a difference

The custom Funding Operations Specialist is responsible for key, daily transactional operations on Health Care Accounts. This includes non-standard transactional items including posting funds via wire/push ACH or direct deposit for our largest clients, resolving and reporting on funding variances, handling escalated queues from internal and external inquiries, managing transactional processes related to return of funds or rejected transfers, managing system outputs and reviewing daily reports as well as transactional maintenance on reimbursement accounts or other custom funding areas.

 

You will need to have an understanding of IRS regulations related to contribution eligibility, annual limits and tax implications as well as familiarity with all types of deposits or regulations applicable to all healthcare accounts. 

You will be responsible for maintaining policies and procedures, as well as providing input and process enhancements and efficiencies. Assisting HealthEquity to become more efficient or improve quality in daily processing is a must.

 

You must process with high detail and accuracy, effectively communicate the status of daily tasks to management and other stakeholders as well as escalate critical issues as needed to ensure service levels and other deliverables are met.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for processes involving funds sent via wire/ACH push. Posting payments, resolving funding variances, escalating issue to internal and external parties.
  • Handles complex funding or from internal and external parties.
  • Resolves customer requests related to return of funds or rejected transfers.
  • Provides transactional maintenance on reimbursement accounts, including reconciliation, rollovers, forfeitures or other needs as defined.      
  • Provides input and content for enhancements to systems and processes.

 

What you will need to be successful

  • A strong working knowledge of healthcare accounts.
  • Experience with financial operational processing preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to build trust and rapport with clients and fully meet their needs within a specified SLA.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues or inquiries.
  • Strong ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and proficiency in all aspects of account maintenance.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work as a team player and also as an individual contributor.
  • Able to acquire the expertise, knowledge and information to effectively solve customer’s issues.
  • Experience in a customer oriented, client facing position.
  • Ability to professionally represent HealthEquity while working directly with employer groups and members.
  • Ability to work in a diverse and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
