How you can make a difference


We are looking for a talented and passionate Application Support Engineer to join our team in Draper, Utah. You will be responsible for the implementation, management and maintenance of business-critical applications. Some examples include Office365, Ivanti End Point Management and Service Desk, and Genesys Pure Connect. You will provide expert technology operations support in a high energy, fast paced team environment. Each member of the team will have a working knowledge of all HealthEquity applications. They will also work in harmony with the Service Desk, Systems, Database, and Networking teams. Ultimately the role of an Application Support Engineer is to provide support to HealthEquity’s Team Members by ensuring their tools work and are the right tools for their needs.



What you’ll be doing


  • Function as an administrator for applications that support HealthEquity’s infrastructure and business needs.  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues or outages.
  • Be a key member on project teams to implement new and upgrade existing applications.
  • Collaborate with the business to leverage application functionality to improve business processes
  • Acting as subject matter expert for applications and their related business processes.
  • Managing relationships with vendors
  • Working with IT infrastructure teams to ensure application performance is optimal.
  • Evaluating and implementing best practices for all critical systems and applications.
  • Champion various system and application audit related tasks.
  • Authoring technical documentation
  • Must be willing work in a 24x7x365 production environment, this includes a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule


What you will need to be successful


  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or 3 years of equivalent work experience in related field required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems, desktop and server.
  • Passion for problem solving and process improvement.
  • Great customer service skills
  • Experience troubleshooting within, MacOS, iOS, and Android
  • Experience setting up and maintaining application and device monitoring and alerting systems required.
  • Experience with PowerShell, SQL, and Active Directory
  • Ability to work effectively on your own or as part of team.
  • Basic understanding of various IT topics including networking, databases, firewalls, windows server, virtualization, DNS, Group Policy, etc
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in problem solving and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Applicable Technical Certifications preferred: CompTIA A+ and/or MCSA
