    What you’ll be doing


    The Senior Operations Solution Architect will be working in one of the fastest growing industries Healthcare Financial Management and be part of the Operations Service Engineering team.  The position requires flexibility and creativity in gathering and interpreting information and in translating that information into detailed cost/benefit analyses, feature proposals, user stories, use cases. Excellent analytical skills are required, with the ability to extract, analyze, and report on information gleaned from internal databases, systems, and both internal and external resources. Your passion must be in improving current processes and systems, fixing what's broken, measuring performance, understanding of downstream dependencies, and working to "get things right". You will inform current and future operations projects, and work closely with operations project managers in executing large projects.

    • Research, quantify, document, and communicate cost/benefit estimates for proposed projects/initiatives
    • Document and understand all processes, systems, and stakeholders impacted
    • Gather, write, and maintain feature requirements and success/test cases for large Operations projects and initiatives based on cost/benefit analyses
    • Perform impact analyses on all executed projects, report to company leadership on progress
    • Assist Operations Project Managers with execution of test plans and other project needs
    • Act as the primary project lead for occasional small projects
    • Assist the Director of Process Improvement in identifying and quantifying future Operations improvement opportunities


    What you will need to be successful



    The Senior Operations Solution Architect is expected to be as personable as they are intelligent – a numbers and process nerd with a personality. Applicants should have a BS/BA degree with preference given to mathematics, statistics, information systems, finance, accounting, or economics majors, and/or equivalent work experience (5+ years). In addition to educational requirements, we are looking for applicants with the following qualifications:

    • 4+ years’ experience as a business analyst, producing feature/project requirements and justification for said requirements
    • 2+ years’ experience with process improvement, producing process documentation, cost/benefit analyses, and executing improvements
    • 2+ years’ experience facilitating projects that affect primary company/group goals
    • Highly adaptable, with ability to rapidly assimilate new information, translating into team and project implications
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Lean Six Sigma and Project Management training preferred
    • SQL experience valued, though not required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with users and understand, assess, document, and communicate their needs
    • Comfortable reporting to executive-level leaders on projects and impact
    • A strong team player, well organized, and able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
    • An understanding of healthcare financial accounts (e.g. HSA, HRA, FSA) is a bonus
    • Strong PC skills including MS PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel
