    The Data & Reporting Analyst is a highly integral part of the Corporate Reporting & Analysis team. The Analyst will need to be a detail-oriented person who is self-starting and able to work independently. A Data & Reporting Analyst is the subject matter expert for the database, and will need to know the best way to get information and package that data for internal and external audiences. You will be part of an experienced team that are champions of your individual success, and the success of the team.



    What you’ll be doing

    • Create reports using SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and other available technologies
    • Use SSRS to create visualizations to make data easier to understand
    • Understand business process and needs
    • Work closely with Business users to ensure that their needs and those of the client are being met
    • Ensure compliance with security policies as they relate to reports and data
    • Convey complex ideas using graphs charts and data to aid decision making
    • Monitor user permissions to reports
    • Create and Maintain data definitions
    • Create subscriptions to reports for business users
    • Validate reports match known sources of truth for consistency


    What you will need to be successful

    The primary qualification for a Data & Reporting Analyst is their ability to speak the language of the business, and data. Your ability to communicate with the business users and create reports needed to make strategic business decisions is the primary skill necessary for this position. Candidates who have worked in reporting and analysis will typically have the skill sets needed to be successful in this position.


    One of these education and experience requirements:

    • BS Computer Science and some applicable data experience
    • BS Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Accounting and 2+ years’ experience
    • BS Mathematics or Stats and some applicable experience
    • 3+ years of directly applicable data experience with an emphasis in Data, ETL, Reporting


    All of these skill and proficiency requirements:

    • Proficient with MS SQL 2014 and 2016
    • Proficient in SSRS
    • Ability to quickly create accurate ADHOC reports


    These skills are given strong preference:

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Experience working in teams and working in group settings
    • An understanding of healthcare financial accounts (e.g. HSA, HRA, and FSA)
