    How you can make a difference

    The Operations Check Processing Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of Specialists who perform key, daily transactional operations on health care accounts. This includes deposit processing, account and transaction adjustments, and verification and submission of checks received. You will create training materials, make updates to policies and procedures, conduct quality assurance of items processed by your team and provide regular feedback to your team members. You will also be required to perform any and all processing duties yourself and act as a subject matter expert in this area.


    In addition to making sure that the daily operational work is accomplished, you must be able to identify where improvement is needed in system, processes and people. Assisting HealthEquity to become more efficient or improve quality in daily processing is a must. This task may include writing requirements for these enhancements, testing, training and documentation.



    What you’ll be doing

    • Accountable for processes involving check payments, fees, and other related operations to check processing
    • Accountable for processes involving our Document Management System and queues relating to account closures, contributions, and more
    • Manage client, member, and internal communication regarding processes related to the team via our Funding Inbox
    • Manage cross functional specialist
    • Assist in management and resolution of escalated queues that are related to deposit processing
    • Provide input and content for enhancements to systems and processes
    • Provide training and support for cross functional teams
    • Set goals for, and measures performance of, team members
    • Perform quality assurance and ensures processing standards are within SLA and audit requirements


    What you will need to be successful

    • A strong working knowledge of healthcare accounts with a focus on Health Savings Accounts and IRS regulations
    • Experience with transaction processing preferred
    • Experience in a customer oriented, client facing position
    • Management or supervisory experience required
    • Ability to professionally represent HealthEquity while working directly with employer groups, members, and internal clients
    • Ability to work in a diverse and sometimes stressful environment
    • Exceptional ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external customers to fully meet their needs within a specified SLA
    • Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues or inquiries
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong experience with MS Excel and ability to put together reports
