    HealthEquity is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join the HealthEquity Marketing team. This person will be part of the driving force to deliver insightful, actionable, and timely competitive intelligence to drive profitable growth and enhance corporate business strategy at HealthEquity. 


    The ideal candidate will primarily focus on generating competitive intelligence and tactical plans to inform how HealthEquity engages with our members as well as how we should position the company in the market to members, clients, partners, investors, etc. This will include plans to differentiate ourselves through marketing and engagement, plans to displace competitive products, and plans to enable our sales teams to efficiently sell new opportunities. This position will be critical in educating sales team members and partners on the competitive landscape and may require customer-facing support, highlighting the value of HealthEquity over specific competitors in active sales cycles and during renewal opportunities.


    What you’ll be doing

    • Ongoing research and analysis of major HealthEquity competitors including all aspects of product functionality, messaging/positioning/value propositions, strengths/weaknesses, competitive tactics and pricing
    • Provide competitive analysis in support of business development, product management, product marketing, etc.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to identify key needs and methods of delivering the right intelligence at the right time to the right person
    • Promote the use of competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders
    • Strategic thinker who can synthesize and then communicate ideas, insights and recommendations in written or verbal form as well as present to small and large groups
    • Deliver key insights and recommendations through presentations, written reports, webinars and consultations
    • Analyze competitors’ announcements, product/solutions, services, partnerships, financial data and strategy to identify competitive threats and opportunities
    • Support a rapidly expanding marketing and sales organization to build out compelling competitive content, including competitive presentations, and other actionable content
    • Rapid-response to competitive moves in the market, including keeping current on all key competitors and related sources of competitive intelligence and data
    • Train internal teams on competitive differentiation on an ongoing basis
    • Develop a broad network of external sources and internal subject matter experts to capture, synthesize and interpret competitive information


    What you will need to be successful

    • Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in market or competitive intelligence directly supporting marketing and sales
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Strategic Planning, Communications, or other related field is required
    • Proven ability to work with sales teams in active sales cycles
    • Energetic, enthusiastic, tenacious self-starter and team player
    • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects/deliverables to successful completion (i.e., high quality deliverables in a timely manner)
    • Strong analytical, creative thinking and research skills with ability to think tactically
    • Strong knowledge of sales and the use of competitive intelligence to win deals
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
