    The Applications Solution Analyst will be part of the Operations Service Engineering team.  The position requires flexibility and creativity in gathering and interpreting user needs and translating that information into detailed cost/benefit analyses, feature proposals, and other requirements for our Operations-owned applications. Excellent analytical skills are required, with the ability to extract, analyze, and report on information gleaned from internal databases, systems, and other internal and external resources. Passion must exist in improving current processes and systems, measuring performance, understanding dependencies, and building simple, elegant solutions that empower end users. This role will inform current and future operations application development initiatives and features, and will work closely with operations application managers to set the vision and detailed roadmaps for our operations applications.


    What you’ll be doing

    • Help set vision for operations-managed applications, and translate into specific initiatives and features
    • Research, quantify, document, and communicate cost/benefit estimates for proposed applications functionality
    • Document and understand all processes, systems, and stakeholders impacted
    • Understand, assimilate, and disposition requests and requirements from many different departments and stakeholders
    • Clearly set and communicate applications teams’ priorities with applications teams and to stakeholders
    • Understand resource constraints based on assigned priorities and make adjustments as necessary, ensuring communication with the business
    • Gather, write, and maintain feature requirements and success/test cases for applications features and initiatives based on cost/benefit analyses
    • Perform impact analyses on executed features, report to company leadership
    • Act as the primary project lead for occasional small projects
    • Assist the Director of Process Improvement in identifying and quantifying future Operations improvement opportunities

    What you will need to be successful


    • Bachelor’s or higher degree in business management, information systems, or similar a plus
    • 2+ years’ experience as a business analyst or Product Owner/Manager, producing feature/project requirements and justification for said requirements
    • 2+ years’ experience with process improvement, producing process documentation, cost/benefit analyses, and executing improvements
    • Highly adaptable, with ability to rapidly assimilate new information and translate into actionable requirements and tasks
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, and/or Project Management training a plus
    • Experience with Oracle products valued, though not required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience reporting priorities, statuses, and impact to executive-level leaders
    • A strong team player, well organized, and able to handle multiple assignments and responsibilities simultaneously
    • Thrives in highly productive environment
    • An understanding of healthcare financial accounts (e.g. HSA, HRA, FSA) is a bonus
    • Strong PC skills including MS PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Excel
