    How you can make a difference 

     

    HealthEquity’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Team leads delivery of the firm’s ERM program, which seeks to manage (i.e., identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor) significant risks facing HealthEquity.  The ERM Team is looking to hire a Director to lead the program on a day to day basis and continue its overall maturation, reporting to the VP of Enterprise Risk.  The role is central to the success of the program.

     

    What you’ll be doing

     

     

    You will work very closely with the VP of Enterprise Risk to finalize build-out of the ERM program (including refinement/use of the enterprise risk register, risk appetite statements, enterprise risk dashboard).  You will also liaise with senior and executive leadership firmwide, as well as the board, driving program delivery.  This role will require subject-matter expertise and strong critical thinking and communication skills, and the ability to learn and absorb new content and navigate ambiguity as the ERM Team matures the overall ERM program.  On a day-to-day basis, the Director will:

    • Refine foundational programmatic elements (e.g., risk register, risk appetite statements, dashboard, ERM policy) as necessary
    • Employ foundational programmatic elements to manage enterprise risk (not least to reduce the most significant risks facing the firm)
    • Engage leadership firmwide to enhance internal processes and champion continuous improvement in risk management
    • Brief leadership and the board on enterprise risks and ERM program status
    • Align ERM program with annual strategic planning, budgeting, enterprise project prioritization, decision support, 10k risk identification, etc.
    • Track, report, and provide analytical insights on ERM program effectiveness
    • Build positive and collaborative working relationships with leaders firmwide (including with socializing risk concepts and developing a risk culture)
    • Prepare and provide well-reasoned analyses while recommending solutions, identifying control gaps, and working through potential issues
    • Build strong connective tissue between ERM, Compliance, Internal Audit

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications include:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
    • Relevant certifications
    • 10+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, insurance, finance, or a related field
