HealthEquity is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr Innovation Strategist to spearhead our internal and external innovation initiatives. This role will play a critical part in igniting creativity, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful change within our organization and across our ecosystem. As the Sr Innovation Strategist, you will be responsible for leading and executing various innovation projects, with a primary focus on running design thinking sessions internally and with our clients and partners. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and implement strategies that drive growth and value. Additionally, you will play a key role in shaping product strategy and innovation strategy, while also possessing the capabilities to build prototypes and UX wireframes to bring innovative ideas to life.
What you’ll be doing
- Design Thinking Facilitation:
- Lead and facilitate design thinking sessions internally and externally to ideate, prototype, and test innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and partners to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and co-create innovative solutions through design thinking workshops.
- Ecosystem Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including clients, partners, startups, and academia, to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations to accelerate innovation and expand our ecosystem.
- Event Management:
- Organize and execute innovation events such as hackathons, innovation days, and ideation workshops across the organization.
- Coordinate logistics, manage budgets, and ensure seamless execution of events to engage participants and drive impactful outcomes.
- Customer Experience:
- Working with the UX teams to conduct research and gather insights to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Design and implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Utilize expertise in building prototypes and UX wireframes to iterate and refine product concepts based on user feedback.
- Innovation Evangelism:
- Act as a champion for innovation within the organization, inspiring and motivating teams to embrace new ideas and approaches.
- Facilitate innovation workshops and training sessions to empower employees to contribute to the innovation process.
What you will need to be successful
- Proven experience in project management, innovation management, or related roles.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience leading design thinking sessions and workshops.
- Experience in product strategy and innovation strategy development.
- Ability to build prototypes and create UX wireframes to bring innovative ideas to life.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive results.
- Experience in event management and organizing innovation events such as hackathons is preferred.
- Passion for driving innovation and making a positive impact.
