Overview

How you can make a difference  

 

The Director of product will play the role and oversee all product management and development efforts for the assigned product line working cross functionally with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure HealthEquity solutions meet external and internal stakeholder needs. Additionally, this role provides profit and loss (P&L) ownership for the assigned product line and is expected to lead efforts that increase revenues and decrease costs over time. These efforts are accomplished through directing the work of a small team of dedicated product professionals and influencing the actions and results of departments outside the Product Management organization. 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the strategy for fraud and product security, ensuring that all products are designed and developed with robust security measures to protect against fraud and other security threats.
  • Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Lead efforts to educate and train the product team on security best practices and protocols.
  • Manage assigned product profitability, business cases for new product innovation, major enhancements, roadmaps for revenue growth, competitive differentiation and customer satisfaction.
  • Be accountable for business (strategy, market view, build/partner/buy, pricing, product strategy, business case), financials (growth, top line/bottom line) and distribution (channels, collaborate with Marketing on the marketing plan, GTM strategy).
  • Collaborate with product managers and other members of the product team to develop programs to execute strategy, manage roadmaps, enable sales and define/track product metrics.
  • Work across all functional areas to define the go-to-market strategy, collaborating on product positioning key benefits, functions, usability and messaging for target customers.
  • Create and deliver on product forecasts, budgets, KPIs and roadmaps aligned with product objectives.
  • Engage with VOC data and with clients, partners and prospects as the face of the product.
  • Understand the market, put competition and trends in perspective, be the face of the company at industry events.
  • Work with Sales to define and maintain pricing of products.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales in the development of content for collateral, web sites, customer presentations, white papers, demonstrations, and other communication vehicles.
  • Assist Sales in responding to competitive offerings, product pricing and packaging coordination.
  • Work closely with software development teams to establish development timelines, prioritize daily progression of technical development analysis and QA. Effectively collaborate with engineering to build applications.
  • Specify market requirements for future releases by conducting market research via on-going customer and prospect interviews

 

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field
  • 10+ years' experience in product management or general business management managing product P&Ls
  • Experience working with digital technologies, mobile applications, cloud, data and AI
  • Domain experience working in areas related to fintech, health tech, lending, credit cards
  • Critical Thinking: Skilled at finding gaps in plans; identifying risks and recommending solutions that others with a single functional focus may overlook; provide detailed insight and constructive suggestions when faced with challenges and complex situations
  • Working with Ambiguity: Achieve progress and momentum in situations that lack an absolute or indisputable solution; improve clarity and definition when goals are unclear; work around previously unencountered roadblocks; drive activity even when faced with limited information

Salary Range

$151,500.00 To $250,000.00 / year

The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
