The IAM Security Engineer will play a crucial role in implementing and managing identity and access management solutions. This role is responsible for safeguarding our systems, applications, and data by ensuring secure user access, authentication, and authorization mechanisms. The IAM Security Engineer will help grow HealthEquity's Identity and Access Management (IAM) program. This role requires strong expertise in identity governance solutions such as SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (formerly IdentityNow), Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions like BeyondTrust, and ZeroTrust security frameworks utilizing tools like Silverfort. As part of the IAM team, you will ensure that the right individuals have the right access to resources at the right times, helping secure our digital environment. 

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Identity Solutions Implementation: Manage and optimize identity and access management systems, particularly SailPoint Identity Security Cloud and Entra ID, ensuring effective and secure user access across all platforms. 
  • Integrate applications for automated provisioning workflows using Identity Security Cloud connectors and APIs. 
  • PAM Solutions: Implement and manage PAM solutions such as BeyondTrust to ensure secure handling of privileged access and minimize security risks. 
  • Zero Trust Architecture: Collaborate with security teams to implement Zero Trust strategies using solutions like Silverfort, ensuring secure access to applications and infrastructure. 
  • Access Control: Ensure efficient provisioning and de-provisioning of access to individuals, applications, and systems. 
  • Automation: Develop and implement automation for IAM processes, including access provisioning, compliance reporting, and role management. 
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure IAM practices align with security standards and regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, SOC2, and others. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with security, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent access management and policy enforcement across the organization. 
  • Incident Response: Assist with IAM-related security incidents, working closely with security teams to resolve and prevent future risks. 

 

What you will need to be successful

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with significant experience in designing and implementing enterprise IAM solutions. 
  • Proven experience in designing and deploying IAM policies, identity governance, and lifecycle management solutions. 
  • Expertise in SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (formerly IdentityNow), Entra ID, and BeyondTrust PAM solutions. 
  • Strong understanding of zero-trust security models and experience with tools like Silverfort. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) related to IAM. 
  • Experience in cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) and integrating IAM solutions with cloud services. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD, including hybrid identity configurations and synchronization. 
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related IAM-focused certifications.

Salary Range

$96500.00 To $123,000.00 / year
