Overview

The Sr Business Analyst is responsible for gathering business information and molding it into actionable decisions for Product. This role interprets information to then be translated into detailed business requirements or leveraged for process improvements.

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Engages business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle, including:
    • Gathering requirements and acceptance criteria for top opportunities
    • Participating in SCRUM cadence meetings to support the team’s delivery and ensure designed solution is tracking to meet acceptance criteria
    • Conduct user acceptance and E2E testing of the final solution
    • Document solutions to enable training, process development, and service delivery
    • Support operational and market release readiness activities
    • Define and track success measurements
    • Continual communication and stakeholder management
  • Troubleshoots efforts for potential system and process issues
  • Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions
  • Supports monitoring and remediation of potential customer-impacting issues
  • Leads initiative level discovery efforts and GAP analysis
  • Serves as a domain Subject Matter Expert
  • Drives the definition of solution use cases

 

What you will need to be successful

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, mathematics, statistics, finance, accounting, or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years work experience:
    • Identifying, proactively engaging, and clearly communicating with relevant stakeholder groups
    • Eliciting and writing clear and well-structured business requirements
    • Writing formal software solution documentation
    • Product management and software development tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Aha!
    • Owning and managing production defects
    • Navigating relational database structures and utilizing SQL (SSMS, Oracle, Databricks)
    • Defining, building, and executing E2E manual functional test cases
    • Leading stakeholder UAT testing sessions for small to medium sized projects

 

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • An understanding of healthcare financial accounts (HSA, HRA, and FSA) and healthcare insurance is highly desired
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile principles is required
  • Proven ability to advance an operational unit’s strategic direction through identification of risk/opportunity and contributing to the corresponding mitigation/solution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with users and understand, assess, and present their needs
  • Ability to organize and lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business stakeholders
  • Ability to build and interpret software solution diagrams including UML, use case/activity, and swim-lane sequence
  • Ability to translate software solutions into business-friendly process flows and descriptions for organizational understanding
  • Ability to to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to provide project management oversight on small to medium sized enterprise initiatives
  • Ability to research and identify production defect root cause, establish an operational work-around, and coordinate resolution with affected stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate relational database structures and query data via SSMS, Oracle, or Databricks
  • Advanced MS Excel understanding is required
  • Understanding of UAT and E2E functional testing best practices is required

 

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • SAFe POPM certification highly desired
  • PMI – PBA, IIBA, or equivalant Business Analyst certifications highly desired
  • PMI – PMP certification highly desired

Salary Range

$87500.00 To $110,000.00 / year
