Overview

How you can make a difference

As the Director of Product Management for the Assist Portfolio at HealthEquity, you will lead the strategy, execution, and growth of our Rewards & Incentives portfolio. This is a pivotal role that combines product innovation and behavioral economics to amplify how members engage with their health and financial benefits.

You’ll own and drive HealthEquity’s Rewards & Incentives solutions. This includes our rewards account offering, new capabilities like Rewards as a Service, and the integration of personalized incentives into platforms like Momentum. Your work will transform rewards from a transactional add-on into a dynamic lever for engagement, adoption, and measurable outcomes.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker and hands-on builder, someone who can set a bold vision, reduce it to practice, and launch products that scale. You’ll own the roadmap and associated P&L, collaborating across business units to position rewards across our full portfolio.

What you’ll be doing

  • Set and lead the Rewards & Incentives product strategy
  • Design and launch our Rewards as a Service platform, enabling tax-advantaged, API-first reward delivery that’s developer-friendly and easy to integrate.
  • Build a personalized rewards experience, using segmentation, AI, and behavioral insights deeply embedded into captive platforms like Momentum.
  • Drive our API enablement strategy, with rewards as a starting point and a vision to power the broader Assist connectivity layer.
  • Create incentive strategies grounded in behavioral science, continuously testing and refining to uncover the optimal incentive that drives meaningful member action.
  • Develop compelling value propositions in partnership with business units and go-to-market teams, aligned to the needs of health plans, employers, and members.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, and cross-functional leaders to build and scale high-impact products and features.
  • Build connective tissue into our partner ecosystem, expanding the reach of our rewards capabilities into care navigation, care delivery, and broader benefits engagement.
  • Serve as the face of the product, representing the portfolio in client conversations, partner engagements, and internal strategy forums.

What you will need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, behavioral science, or a related technical field
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering digital products that drive engagement or behavior change
  • Strong domain knowledge in healthcare, fintech, consumer incentives, employer benefits, or related ecosystems
  • Demonstrated expertise in personalization, segmentation, behavioral design, or applied behavioral science
  • Technical fluency to lead API-first products, platforms, and integrations
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity, build cross-functional alignment, and translate vision into execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree
  • Experience with HSA, HRA, LSA, or other benefit-linked financial products
  • Exposure to care navigation, wellness, or digital health engagement program
