How you can make a difference

We are seeking a General Manager of Investing to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our investment offering within our ecosystem. This role is accountable for building a differentiated, end-to-end investment experience that empowers our members to grow their health savings through thoughtful and accessible investing options. You will act as the business owner for the investing product line — spanning product strategy, investment partner relationships, regulatory compliance, go-to-market execution, and member experience. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role requiring deep expertise in the investment space, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for helping Americans take ownership of their long-term health and financial futures.

What you’ll be doing

End-to-End Investing Strategy

  • Define the long-term vision and roadmap for the investing experience within our HSA platform — spanning education, accessibility, product design, and performance.
  • Own the full lifecycle of the investing product: fund lineup, platform capabilities, pricing, adoption, engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Develop a differentiated offering that appeals to a range of investor personas — from passive savers to experienced investors.

Product Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams (product, design, data, engineering, operations) to deliver investing features and experiences that are seamless, secure, and scalable.
  • Partner closely with the HSA GM, marketing, and customer experience teams to ensure alignment with broader company strategy and brand.
  • Drive continuous optimization and innovation based on member behavior, market trends, and investment outcomes.

Investment Oversight & Industry Expertise

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on investment products, portfolio construction, asset classes, fund structures (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs), and related vehicles (e.g., model portfolios, robo-advisory).
  • Maintain strong oversight of investment offerings to ensure performance, compliance, and relevance to member needs.
  • Work closely with third-party investment managers, custodians, advisors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure a best-in-class offering.

Business Management & Growth

  • Own key business metrics: assets under management (AUM), take rate, user activation, engagement, retention, and revenue contribution.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies to drive awareness and usage of investing features, including education and lifecycle-based targeting.
  • Identify and evaluate new distribution models, partner integrations, or acquisitions to expand investing capabilities.

What you will need to be successful

  • 10+ years of experience in investment management, brokerage, wealth tech, or fintech, with direct experience building or overseeing investment products.
  • Proven success in a general management, product leadership, or P&L-owning role in the financial services industry.
  • Deep understanding of investment strategies, fund structures, portfolio construction, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ERISA, SEC, FINRA, DOL).
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights and trends into executable product and business plans.
  • Experience navigating custodial platforms, advisory models, and B2C/B2B2C investment product delivery.
  • Passion for democratizing investing and improving financial outcomes for everyday consumers.
  • Exceptional leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills.
  • FINRA Series 7/65 or 66 a plus, but not required.
