Overview

Job Summary:

The Vice President, Head of Enterprise Client Relationships is a senior sales executive responsible for leading and coaching a national team of AVPs of Relationship Management Enterprise Clients. These AVPs, manage Account Executives who are directly responsible for maintaining and growing a defined book of business consisting of large employer clients.

This role is accountable for delivering against revenue retention and growth targets, expanding client relationships, and ensuring a high-quality, consultative experience that aligns with HealthEquity’s strategic objectives. The VP provides executive-level leadership, promotes a high-performing culture, and drives strategic engagement with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

 

Essential Management Responsibilities:

  • Manages and carries out the personnel actions for direct reports, including but not limited to:
    • Hiring and scheduling
    • Training and evaluating
    • Coaching and managing performance
    • Making salary, merit, or other compensation recommendations for team of direct reports
    • Making recommendations and/or taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategic KPI’s including: client retention, cross-sell, and growth from exisitng metrics
  • Strategically guide your team members in achieving their goals to expand the number of accounts (Health Savings and Reimbursement Accounts) and custodial assets for existing employer partners
  • Utilize your strategic experience in helping your overall team in developing strong relationships with their clients and their client’s consultant/broker, as well as other ecosystem vendor partners
  • Provides executive leadership to the account executive leaders and their team in securing and building business partnerships with their selected customer base. Works with the team to gather information, analyze and develop strategies concerning dynamics that may affect their area of responsibility, such as changes in customer ownership or new affiliations; current market share and targets of opportunities for new growth; customers’ changing requirements; and competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Serve as an escalation point for your leaders and team members, when advocating internally on behalf of the employer partner
  • Provide strategic direction, vision, and experience to your team, to guide members on consultative strategic activities with employer partners (such as overall corporate and benefits strategies benefit plan review, CDH account adoption best practices, financial health, RFPs)
  • Guide the team in the development of reporting when asked for client financial performance including renewal planning, negotiation, and profitability levels
  • Provide strategic guidance for and oversight to your team members to ensure HealthEquity is delivering the service, support, and overall solution to our clients
  • Impart your healthcare industry knowledge as well as knowledge and connections of your clients’ industry
  • Be proactive in advocating the needs of your team members related to program/product needs
  • Engage with other leaders and teams across the business on cross-functional initiatives
  • Seek out and hire top talent, develop and promote existing talent, and build strong leaders
  • Actively engage in internal HealthEquity operational and leadership meetings to support our business

Qualifications: 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, advance degree preferred 
  • 10+ years of strategic and consultative selling experience within the CDH, Insurance or Finance industry 
  • Proven track record of over 7+ years of working with senior-level executives including but not limited to CHRO, CFO and EVP, SVP and VP Compensation and Benefits and retirement within the Insurance or Finance industry in the Enterprise / Commercial Accounts space (4,000+ employees) 
  • Prior management experience preferred 
  • Familiarity with Health Insurance Industry and all types Health Accounts 

 

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Exceptional leadership acumen, and communication skills. 
  • Expert relationship management skills including negotiation, collaboration, and listening skills 
  • Strong working knowledge of employer benefits frameworks and plan design. 
  • Proven ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels, both internally and externally. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical, reporting, and planning skills. 
  • Presentation Skills including messaging and positioning information to meet and influence client need 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems. 
  • Proactive problem solving 

 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Heavy travel may be required (more than 30%)

Salary Range

$175500.00 To $232500 / year
