Reporting to the Senior Director of Technical Security Engineering, the Vulnerability & Threat Surface Management Engineer will work closely with management to engineer solutions for continuously improve detection and visibility of vulnerabilities.   This role includes management of the Threat Surface of HealthEquity, including identification of internal and external vulnerabilities, management of risk ratings, and tracking of remediation and/or mitigation. You will engage business personnel to ensure remediation solutions are identified, tested and made available to all groups responsible for vulnerability remediation. As a key risk advisor, you will be addressing IT issues and processes that impact both current and future system architectures that are in scope for HITRUST, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI/DSS, FEDRAMP, SOC1/SOC2, etc. You will have experience on both sides of the audit and assessment process, proven experience; how to test controls and how to design them specific to IT operations. You will review the design of existing controls and offer ideas on improving and consolidating those controls, educating and informing others within the organization, and identifying opportunities for improvements in existing processes. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining HealthEquity's overall cybersecurity risk management program, which is designed to ensure that the company’s technology systems and data are adequately protected. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for growing a team to identify, evaluate, and report on cybersecurity risks in a manner that meets HealthEquity's internal, regulatory, and client contract requirements. As a senior leader in the Security & Technology organization, the Director will work proactively with the various clients, business units, and internal organizations to implement practices that meet HealthEquity's defined policies and standards for information risk management. The Director is also a member of various governance, compliance, and incident response groups.
